Who we are

What we collect

Only what you type in our forms: your name, phone, email, the vehicle you are interested in and your message. In the pre-approval form, also your employment status, monthly income, down payment and credit range. In the trade-in form, the year, make, model, mileage and condition of your vehicle.

This website does not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, driver's license or bank account. A full credit application, when you decide to make one, is handled separately with the store.

Like any website, our hosting provider receives basic technical data (IP address, browser and device type) to deliver the pages. We also use the Meta Pixel, from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), to count visits, see which cars people look at and which requests come from our ads, and show our ads to people who have visited this website. Meta receives your IP address, browser, the pages you view and the fact that you sent a form, under its own privacy policy. You can turn it off at any time in "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page, and your choice stays on this device. Your browser also remembers the language you chose.

How we use it

To answer you, schedule a visit or test drive, prepare a payment estimate or a trade-in appraisal, follow up on your request, keep sales records and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Our team, and the service providers that run this website and our customer management system, who may use it only to work for us. Lenders, only when you ask us to look for financing and only what they need to answer. Authorities, when the law requires it.

The fonts and the store map on the contact page are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address under its own privacy policy.

Calls, texts and WhatsApp

When you send a form, you agree that Intercar may contact you by phone, text, WhatsApp or email about your request. Message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop at any time, by replying STOP to a text or by telling us. Agreeing to be contacted is not a condition to buy a vehicle.

How we protect it

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards in line with Massachusetts data security rules (201 CMR 17.00) and, for financing information, the FTC Safeguards Rule. Only the people who need your information to help you can see it. No system is completely secure, so if something goes wrong we will act and tell you as the law requires.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to serve you and as long as the law requires us to keep sales and financing records. After that, we delete it or remove what identifies you.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we have about you by writing to intercarmotor@gmail.com. We may need to confirm it is you before we answer.

Children

This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date.
